In this course, you'll gain knowledge and skills in the delivery of library services and related technologies and processes. It's ideal for anyone wanting to work in a public, hospital, law, university or school library — although it has a strong customer service focus; the course would also suit jobs in organisations that manage large amounts of information such as a database service or even the military.

You'll learn about the organisation and operation of systems for handling recorded material, and helping clients gain access to information. The skills covered include using information business systems and programs to search and access information; cataloguing systems and processes, providing multimedia support; information literacy; and more.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.
