Certificate III in Guiding
Get the skills, knowledge and confidence to guide tour groups for Australian destinations.
Tour guiding is an exciting and interesting career, with many opportunities not only here in Australia but all around the world across the tourism industry.
Tour guides work with some independence and under limited supervision using discretion and judgement to resolve problems. Guides at this level usually work in particular areas or sites, including attractions, cultural and heritage sites, tourist precincts, marine and national parks, wineries, or on board day or extended cruise vessels.
With this course, you'll gain a suite of skills related to conducting guided tours for a range of settings. Training covers customer service; communication skills; preparing and delivering group activities and commentary for a range of destinations; developing regional knowledge; Australian indigenous culture and heritage; and cultural and social sensitivities.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study
