Diploma of Process Plant Technology
Gain advanced skills and knowledge for working with process plant technology within a range of industries including the resources and mining sector, oil and gas, and the chemical, hydrocarbons or refining sectors; and build your leadership and technical problem solving skills.
This course is a technical qualification for paraprofessionals who undertake technical projects such as plant modifications either individually or as part of a project team.
The advanced skills and knowledge you'll gain through this training can apply to a range of industries including the resources and mining sector, oil and gas, and the chemical, hydrocarbons or refining sectors.
You'll learn how to analyse performance and failure in equipment and products, and assist in the development of new and modified products. You'll also build your leadership and technical problem solving skills and gain high level knowledge of WHS, contractor management, HAZOP studies, incident response, plant shutdown, and project management.
Note: This course is best suited for people who already have some background or experience in this field. If you're unsure, please seek advice from the training provider to see whether this course is the right choice for you.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.
