This course provides you with the standard qualification requirement for site supervisors in Australia. It's ideal for anyone with drilling operations experience, who now wants to move into a team leader or site supervisor role.
You'll learn about monitoring a safe workplace; implementing the site risk management program; demonstrating leadership within the workplace and on site; developing the skills of individuals and the team; planning and supervising the mobilisation of crew and materials; applying the site maintenance and the site environmental program, policies and processes; and applying the site quality management system.
You'll also learn how to run and supervise on site operations, and supervise the drilling program.
Completion of this qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.
Please note: This qualification is not eligible for fee-free training if undertaken as an existing worker traineeship (EWT). However; selected qualifications in key industry sectors are available as EWTs, with reduced course fees (limited places may apply). This course is available from registered training organisations (accredited private training providers) that are also funded through Jobs and Skills WA. Select from the list below, and follow the link to the provider's website for further information about the course and how to enrol.
This traineeship is for Senior Drillers/Supervisors requiring national certification for drilling operations. AMPT Services can provide this traineeship for all streams of drilling operations, blast hole, water well, geotechnical, environmental, seismic, mineral exploration, foundation/construction, trenchless and directional drilling. Our eLearning platform provides the learning component of the course followed by practical training and assessment in the field on the rig. Our eLearning platform works everwhere 24/7 with or without internet coverage, on devices using both apple and android systems. Students can use the platform in remote areas to complete the course and when in internet range the eLearning platform syncs and uploads the course to our eLearning platform. The system allows for voice to text to complete assignments, so no writing involved when in internet range. Site Supervisors are regularly updated with student progress reports. Our fully qualified trainers and assessors regularly complete site visits to ensure trainees are up to date with training and assessment and are available for support services via telephone or email.
