Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
Become a licensed roof plumber with this trade qualification.
Roof plumbers need to know how water behaves under different conditions, including weather and temperatures. They handle various roofing structures and materials such as metal, polycarbonate, fibreglass or glass, and are usually working at heights on residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Through this training, you'll learn about roof sheeting, wall cladding, non-metallic roof materials and insulation for a roof. You'll also learn how to install fascias, different types of gutters and downpipes, ridge capping, flashings and wall cladding.
You'll also learn specialist skills including component fabrication, acoustic and thermal protection systems, cladding and rainwater products, oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, and 2D design software.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. Note: This course is usually available only as an apprenticeship.
