Certificate III in Rigging

Riggers work on mine sites, construction projects, manufacturing plants, logging yards, ships and shipyards, in the entertainment industry, and more!

If you would like to become a licensed rigger and dogger or linesperson, and get a range of accredited work permits for construction sites, this is the course for you! This work can be very interesting, and often challenging, and it requires a good mix of technical know-how and skills.

This training will prepare you for working at heights as a rigger in Australia, and is also suited to working in the mining or resources industry. You will learn the essential safety and communication protocols followed to work at heights.

Technical skills you'll gain include carrying out measurements and communications, reading and interpreting plans and specifications, operating booms and work platforms, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, using dogging tools and equipment, operating various work vehicles, and much more.
