If you would like to work as a Production Operator or Plant Operator in the resources industry, this course is for you! This training will give you the practical skills and knowledge to work at processing facilities across the mining and resources industry; including for iron ore and other metals, and coal.
You'll learn about workplace communication and teamwork; working safely; risk management; environmental protocols and site quality standards; complying with work processes; operating equipment and heavy machinery and plant; monitoring pipelines and boilers; responding to emergencies; and much more.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.

The training for the Certificate III in Resource Processing (RII30420) is delivered on the job to registered trainees. CTS can adjust the training to individual needs and workplaces.
We only offer this course if you are currently employed in the resource processing industry via a traineeship pathway. You must have access to specified equipment in order to enrol in this qualification with CTS and provide approval for CTS assessors to visit the site to conduct assessments.
Delivered via flexible learning on the job with 13 units for completion. Up to 36 months for a traineeship. More information is available on our website.
