Certificate III in Flooring Technology

Get job ready for a range of careers including sander and polisher, floor finisher or carpet layer for residential or commercial buildings.

This course provides general flooring skills but also allows you to specialise in an area of your choice such as timber, carpet or concrete. You'll learn about using and applying different kinds of floor covering materials; handling hazardous substances; reading plans and specifications; measuring and calculating; and costing flooring materials.

Depending on the units you choose, you can also learn about applying moisture barriers; and assessing installation sites.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. Note: This course is usually available only as an apprenticeship.
