You'll gain the skills and confidence to enter the beauty industry and provide a range of services, learning the tips of the trade to be successful in a very competitive market. You could also continue your studies with our SHB30215 Certificate III in Makeup or, with an additional 10 units you could achieve SHB50115 Diploma of Beauty Therapy and run your own beauty salon.
A valuable part of our course is ongoing practical demonstration of your skills, so you will be need to bring live models to class as required.

They will also gain expertise in manicures, pedicures, and nail art, as well as lash and brow treatments tailored to each client’s needs. Additionally, students will develop skills in makeup application, enhancing clients’ natural features for various occasions.
In addition to hands-on training, students will gain crucial knowledge in advising on beauty products and services, conducting salon financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with organisational requirements in a personal services environment. This course also covers safe hygiene practices and maintaining infection control standards, preparing students to meet the highest professional standards.

You’ll be trained using professional product ranges such as Dermalogica skin care, MAC, Crown, Kryolan and LA girl makeup.
In this course you’ll also grow your customer service skillset, learning to engage with clients and create a positive client experience from greeting and preparing on arrival through to advising on beauty products and treatments.

Our Mandurah campus(opens in a new tab) has undergone major re-development with new purpose-built training facilities including simulated hair and beauty training facilities, with a hair salon and dedicated training spaces for beauty and massage therapy.
When you complete this course, you will be ready for a career in Beauty services. You will have the skills and knowledge to start in the beauty industry. The practical experience you gain will provide you with the skills required to work at an entry level in the beauty industry.
