The Certificate II in Introduction to Aged Care reflects the role of support workers who follow an individualised care plan to provide person centred care to clients in a residential facility.
Care worker’s duties include:
- Carrying out activities to maintain an individual's well-being through personal care and/or general activities of daily living
- Carry out tasks related to an individualised client care plan
- Reporting directly to a supervisor
The course is delivered at our dedicated training facility in Rivervale with a mandatory work placement of 100 hours facilitated at an Amana Living Residential Care location in the metro area.
Amana Living Training Institute has Government funded places for this qualification available under the Priority Industry Training funding and Traineeship funding models.
