If you enjoy working in nature, cultivating gardens and love seeing your hard work flourish, this course is for you. In this entry-level qualification, you'll gain the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively in the horticultural industry. Horticulturists most commonly work in a gardening, nursery and landscaping setting.
Some things you'll learn:
- How to recognise plants
- Landscaping, pruning and planting plants
- How to treat weeds and pests
- How to operate basic machinery and equipment
- How to assist with soil or growing media sampling and testing

You can attain a triple qualification that includes Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Certificate II in Landscaping and Certificate II in Horticulture by enrolling in an additional unit.
