The Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology  is a nationally recognised and accredited training qualification designed to prepare you for work in an automotive workplace, with the job ready skills employers are looking for.

You'll gain essential knowledge of workplace safety, tools, equipment, and servicing operations and learn how to inspect test and service batteries, braking systems, steering systems, engines, and suspension systems.

Completion of this course can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. It's also an excellent pathway to an apprenticeship or traineeship in this industry.

This qualification will provide you with skills and knowledge used in the heavy automotive vehicle servicing sector. You will learn skills in carrying out heavy vehicle servicing operations, inspecting and servicing engines, steering and suspension systems, repairing single electrical circuits, using and maintaining workplace tools and equipment.  You will also learn how to apply safe work practices and apply basic automotive troubleshooting processes in the heavy automotive context.

The aim of this pre-apprenticeship is to provide learners with industry specific training to gain skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable transition into an indentured apprenticeship.
