Units include digital design, storyboarding, interactivity, 2D and 3D character imaging and animation, short film production and media production (video and audio); with a focus on creativity, design thinking and conceptual development, and the technical and management skills required to work in these fields. You'll also learn the latest industry software and equipment. 

Note: This course is best suited for people who already have some background or experience in this field. If you're unsure, please seek advice from the training provider to see whether this course is the right choice for you.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.

The Animation and Visual Effects industry awaits

This twelve-month course is the last stage on your pathway towards a career in Animation and Visual Effects. This course is designed for students who have completed the CUA51020-AC87 – Diploma of Screen and Media (Animation and Visual Effects) or university media graduates.

A large proportion of this course has you working in a studio environment on real professional productions for industry including TV series and feature films. You’ll also highly refine your skills in 3D animation, 2D animation, sound, and writing

You will learn new skills in pre-visualization and virtual production, and undertake the process of developing an idea and pitching it. 

Graduates take with them a high-level showreel comprising of AAA level work, feature film credits, experience working with real production clients, and the skills and confidence to work in the Animation and Visual Effects industry.

This course will only be offered in semester 1 each year.
