The Role
Clive's Hot Water & Gas Services is a well-established family-owned business with a great reputation for providing consistent, high-quality plumbing and gas work services to residential customers in the southern suburbs of Perth. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated plumbing apprentice to join our business on a full-time basis.
Under the supervision of our experienced plumbers, the new apprentice will be supported to complete their plumbing apprenticeship, developing the skills to complete plumbing for residential bathroom and kitchen renovations, hot water system installations and general plumbing and gas-fitting maintenance.
The successful applicant will initially be employed for a trial period at the start of the apprenticeship.
Selection criteria
The successful candidate for this apprenticeship will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in the plumbing trade.
- Be committed to completing a 4-year plumbing apprenticeship, including TAFE training.
- Have sound Mathematical and English skills.
- Possess a valid Driver’s Licence (“C” Class).
- Experience using a wide range of construction hand and power tools.
- Experience in Oxyacetylene welding.
- Experience with metal fabrication including cutting and measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret construction technical drawings.
- Sound health and physical stamina.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Have own transport available to and from the workplace.
- Completion of a Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship would be an advantage.
