Our services

Careers, training and jobs

We can work with you to identify what kind of work and/or career you would like to pursue, and help you choose the best options for training if you need to skill up.

Some of the services we offer include:

  • exploring jobs and occupations, and industries, to identify the kind of work you are best suited for and/or would most like to pursue; and
  • developing a career plan with achievable goals to keep you on track.

If you need to refresh your CV or resumé, or develop a new one, we can help with that too!

Because we work closely with local employers and businesses, we know where the job opportunities are and can look at where your skills and experience could be a match with what employers are looking for. We can also help you with looking for jobs; writing job applications; and even preparing for job interviews to make sure you're feeling confident and can go out there and get that job.

As part of our services, South Regional TAFE is offering specialist support to assist with any training needs you may have. This can be arranged directly with us, and includes:

  • doing an assessment of your current skills and experience, and what occupations they could be transferrable to;
  • recognition of prior learning to identify and be accredited for your existing knowledge and skills;
  • a skills gap analysis to identify where you could do some training to build on your skills and knowledge; and
  • developing a skills development plan to support you in building your skills and knowledge.

Further information about this support is available here on the South Regional TAFE website.

Employers and business

If you're a local business or employer looking for new workers, we can help!

Because we're working closely with local jobseekers, we may be able to identify people with the skills and knowledge you're looking for. We have a free online jobs board and would be happy to talk to you about adding your employment opportunities there to reach a wide audience.

We can also assist with support for your business, including information about how apprenticeships and traineeships can build your workforce; and advice about financial support and incentives you may be able to access.

As part of our services, South Regional TAFE is offering specialist support to assist with any training needs you may have. This can be arranged directly with us, and includes:

  • developing a training needs plan for your business;
  • a skills gap analysis to identify opportunities to upskill your workers; and
  • doing an assessment of new workers' current skills and experience to identify any skills gaps and training solutions.

Further information about this support is available here on the South Regional TAFE website.
