You'll gain the skills and knowledge needed to work with livestock including cows, pigs and sheep. You’ll learn about animal welfare legislation and how to handle and manage livestock — including mustering and moving — in a safe way that minimises stress to the animals; basic techniques for handling livestock in a farm or production environment — including understanding animal behaviour — identifying and drafting different livestock; and how to administer routine medications.
