If you would like a taste of the kind of work you could do and gain some entry level skills to start your career, the skills and knowledge you gain through this skill set could set you up to start work in a restaurant, hotel, resort, club, winery, bar, or café — even on a cruise ship!
You'll learn about the responsible service and supply of alcohol (and get your RSA), how to apply practices for hygiene and food safety in a commercial kitchen or food service business, prevent food contamination and identify and control, food hazards within a kitchen or small food premises.
This skill set consists of units from nationally recognised and accredited qualifications. Successful completion can provide credit, should you pursue further study in a related qualification.

You will gain the skills required to serve and supply alcohol (RSA), a requirement under the state licensing laws for all employees such as food and beverage attendants, winery cellar door staff, delivery service staff or anyone working in a liquor outlet.
Use hygienic practices for food safety is an important skill, essential for those working with and handling food. You will be provided with the knowledge to manage personal hygiene, prevent food contamination and identify and control, food hazards within a kitchen or small food premises.
Please note this skill set will be run subject to enrolment numbers.
