You'll gain job ready skills and knowledge to assist the HR function in an organisation; including an overview of industrial and labour relations, performance development processes, and recruitment.

This skill set consists of units from nationally recognised and accredited qualifications. Successful completion can provide credit, should you pursue further study in a related qualification such as the Certificate IV in Human Resources.

Learn the foundational principles and practices of Human Resource Management (HRM) for those who are keen to fill support roles in small to medium organisations. This course is delivered through a blended learning model over one semester, combining on-site evening sessions (optional), online modules, and practical activities covering four core units:  
  •  Industrial relations – understanding obligations
  •  Performance development
  •  Strategic recruitment and onboarding
  •  Supporting organisational HR functions
  All units credit toward the full Certificate IV in HR Management which we will deliver in the future.

The Human Resources Foundations skill set is designed for beginners, as well as those with some experience in human resources (HR), who are looking to gain additional knowledge and skills without completing a full qualification. 

This nationally recognised skill set includes the 4 prerequisite units for the  BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management. 

The units in this skill set also contribute to credit towards BSB40420 Certificate IV in Human Resources Management as well as providing direct entry to the BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management.
