Electrical Safety Testing of Electrical Cord Connected Equipment and Cord Assemblies Skill Set
Get qualified to inspect and test portable, hand held electrical equipment using a portable appliance tester (PAT), and test electrical equipment as required by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760, allowing you to test and tag equipment in your workplace.
This short course skill set is designed specifically for people wishing to undertake the testing, tagging and reporting of portable and/or hand held low voltage (LV) electrical equipment using a portable appliance tester (PAT) and test electrical equipment as required by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.

These competencies are in addition to competencies already gained in the relevant field to which the electrical work is incidental or a primary and regular function of the work.
Successful completion of this course will allow you to test and tag equipment in your workplace. It does not permit you to set up a private business for testing and tagging electrical equipment, and does not qualify you to perform any electrical repairs on equipment that is found to be faulty when tested.
