This qualification offers a wide range of electrical engineering competencies, and enables you to choose from specialist elective units to suit your career goals. Some of the skills and knowledge covered include the following.
- Develop electrotechnology and engineering project specifications, estimate projects and prepare tender submissions
- Conduct audit of hazardous areas installations — gas / dust atmospheres, and develop strategies to address environmental sustainability issues
- Develop and implement energy sector maintenance programs and facilitate continuous improvement
- Provide solutions to basic engineering computational problems and ensure team effectiveness
- Evaluate performance of low voltage electrical apparatus
- Produce detailed reports for the energy sector
- Develop and implement and monitor energy sector work, health and safety policies and procedures
This nationally recognised and accredited qualification can open a range of career opportunities in areas including electrical engineering authority, plant integrity and supervisory roles.
