
Diploma of Dental Technology
A hands on qualification that combines medicine, technology and creativity to boost your career as a dental technician, responsible for construction and repair of dentures and other dental appliances including crowns, bridges, partial dentures, pre- and post-oral and maxillofacial surgical devices, and orthodontic appliances.
This qualification provides you with skills for the role of a dental technician, responsible for construction and repair of dentures and other dental appliances including crowns, bridges, partial dentures, pre- and post-oral and maxillofacial surgical devices, and orthodontic appliances.
Career options include working as a Dental Technician who can be either self-employed, or work in public or private industry in a dental laboratory, on your own or in groups, under the prescription of dentists, dental prosthetists or dental specialists.

The perfect qualification to get you started in the Dental Technology profession
As a Dental Technician, you will work in a dental laboratory, or within dental practices. During your day you will focus on the creation, modification, and repair of various appliances or restorations, which move, replace or repair teeth based on the prescription of Dentists, Specialist and Prosthetists.
This qualification is an apprenticeship so you will need be employed as an apprentice in a Dental Laboratory; please see the Apprenticeships section for more information.
During the course you will have the opportunity to meet other apprentices when attending our newly fitted out facilities at our Leederville campus.
