With this training, you'll build your interpersonal and technical skills to analyse, plan, design and evaluate production and business management in the apparel, fashion and textiles industry. The skills and knowledge you'll gain will be relevant to a range of jobs and careers within the industry.
Job roles in the design and production side of the industry may include assistant designers, assistant product developers, patternmakers, and production supervisors. In the business side, roles may include positions in marketing, public relations, buying and visual merchandising or for self-employed designers.
Note: This course is designed for people who already have some background or experience in this field. If you are new to this, please seek advice from the training provider to see whether this is the right training for you.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.

Throughout the course, you may have opportunities to engage with our creative community through interdisciplinary collaborations, live industry briefs, exhibitions and runway shows, helping you build valuable industry experience and professional networks.
On completion, you’ll graduate with a diverse and industry-relevant skill set, preparing you for further study or a career in the fashion industry.
This course is only offered in semester one of each year.
*Students who have not completed the Certificate IV in Apparel and Fashion may be required to undertake an additional semester of study.
