Build your career in sport, aquatics or recreation with the SIS40122 Certificate IV in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation, delivered by Royal Life Saving WA through a structured traineeship arrangement.
This nationally recognised qualification combines formal training with supervised workplace learning, allowing you to develop real skills while you work. You’ll build practical capability in coordinating activities, supporting safety and risk procedures, providing quality customer service, and contributing to daily operations across sport, aquatic or recreation settings, while developing skills in managing your workload, supporting teams and responding effectively to incidents and emergencies. You’ll also gain experience in identifying and controlling risks, supporting safe workplaces, and contributing to planning, budgeting and informed operational decision-making.
The delivery model blends online learning, scheduled face-to-face contact with an experienced RLSSWA trainer, and structured workplace learning under the guidance of an approved workplace supervisor. Online resources build essential theory, which is then applied directly to real workplace tasks, ensuring learning reflects genuine industry expectations. With structured support and real workplace experience, this qualification helps you take the next confident step in your sport, aquatics or recreation career.
