With global meat consumption increasing both in Australia and in its major meat export markets — China, Indonesia, Japan and the United States — there's a real need for qualified workers to ensure quality is maintained for meat consumed both at home and abroad. 

The Certificate IV in Meat Processing (Quality Assurance) is designed to train Quality Assurance workers for meat processing facilities.

You'll learn skills around maintaining personal equipment, hygiene and sanitation practices, complying with quality assurance and HACCP requirements, follow safe work policies and procedures, and workplace communication. You'll also get an overview of the meat industry. This course may lead to meat industry roles including Quality Assurance (QA) officer, QA supervisor, QA auditor and QA manager.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.
