This course will give you the skills you need to match employers with jobseekers. You'll be able to help people advance their career, and use your specialised knowledge to support individual jobseekers locate and maintain employment. Additionally, you'll assist employers meet their recruitment needs.

Essentially — you'll become a professional matchmaker, developing relationships to connect the right person to the right role. 

The Certificate IV in Employment Services will develop your interpersonal and communication skills and may lead to a career as an employment consultant, employment specialist, or employment manager.

Completion of this qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.

Please note: This qualification is not eligible for fee-free training if undertaken as an existing worker traineeship (EWT). However; selected qualifications in key industry sectors are available as EWTs, with reduced course fees (limited places may apply). The CHC41115 Certificate IV in Employment Services is a large qualification consisting of 14 units. This qualification covers workers who provide a range of programs and services to individuals and groups of clients and employers to support them in locating, securing and maintaining suitable employment. You will also assist individual job seekers to address their barriers to maintaining sustainable employment. Workers at this level: Need an understanding of access and equity issues including cultural diversity, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and disability issues and to work with local communities in the provision of services. The qualification has a heavy focus on providing Government contracted employment or career services.
Training is delivered on the job where possible, or using online live video conferencing. Using online resources or workbooks for learning materials, with individual training, coaching and assessment in student workplaces across WA.  Publicly funded traineeships are available for new workers through Jobs and Skills WA. Please note that this is not a free or half-price course and mandatory course fees per the DTWD VET Fees and Charges policy do apply. Existing workers may also undertake this qualification through a traineeship as a fee for service student.
