Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
Build your career in the building and construction industry, and open up new opportunities to work as a construction or building project manager and/or expand your building business.
This course will build on your experience and develop your skills and knowledge to set you up for higher level roles where you can plan and supervise construction sites, prepare costs and schedules for a contract, understand and apply current Australian building codes and standards, understand the legal requirements of contracts and works, read and interpret plans and specifications, identify and produce estimated costs and manage occupational health and safety on construction sites.
You'll gain a diverse range of skills to be able to project manage and coordinate the overall construction of low rise residential and commercial buildings, which may involve selecting contractors, overseeing work and liaising with clients.
Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.
