With this course, you'll gain a range of design techniques and practices to put your own creativity and imagination into practice, designing and creating beautiful fashion. 

You will learn about fabrics and textiles, how to produce technical design drawings, patternmaking, layout and cutting fabrics, operating design technology and design programs, and so much more! Training is delivered by experienced fashion industry professionals, and you'll learn through a combination of theory and hands on practice, giving you valuable experience.

Completion of this qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.

This course will nurture your creative talents and teach you the essential skills for a thriving career in the fashion industry. No prior experience is needed – just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity!

Whether you're sewing, creating patterns, experimenting with textile and digital designs, or sketching your fashion ideas, you'll be in an environment that encourages your creativity to flourish. Our Fashion design studio feels just like a real workplace and you'll not only learn the technical aspects of fashion and textiles, but also explore your unique ideas, think outside the box, and do extensive research to fuel your creativity.

The Certificate IV is a requirement of those interested in continuing to the Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising. This first year will equip you with an impressive set of skills that will open doors to further studies or even real-world work opportunities. Imagine turning your passion into a fulfilling career or continuing your fashion journey with confidence.

This amazing 12 month course is offered only in the first semester of each year.
