Want to help hold up the whole building & construction industry? Scaffolding is a very important item on any worksite — it ensures people can work safely at heights, and safely access all areas of a space.
Through this training, you'll learn how to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding; perform dogging; operate a forklift truck; work safely at heights; and how to operate elevated work platforms, a truck mounted loading crane, and personnel and materials hoists. You'll also learn safety regulations and legislation as they apply to scaffolding in the construction industry.
This skill set consists of units from nationally recognised and accredited qualifications. Successful completion can provide credit, should you pursue further study in a related qualification.

The Certificate III in Scaffolding is a nationally recognised qualification that provides individuals with the skills and knowledge to safely and effectively erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding structures in a variety of industries including construction, mining and maintenance. The course covers a range of subject matter expertise areas including identifying scaffold requirements, planning for safe and efficient scaffold installations, safe practice and conducting post-installation checks and maintenance. Participants will learn how to interpret scaffold specifications, communicate effectively and comply with WHS regulations. This course covers both the theoretical and practical training, with a focus on the hands-on component. On successful completion, a nationally recognised qualification will be issued and the participant will be eligible to work as a certified scaffolder.

These strategies provide a positive blend of on-the-job and off-the-job learning experiences enabling scaffolding trainees to become new generation scaffolders. A 12-month scaffolding traineeship provides an employment-based learning experience for those wishing to become highly skilled scaffolders. This qualification brings further credibility to a high-risk occupation.

- Basic scaffolding applications (Basic licence)
