Certificate III in Rural and Environmental Pest Management

Work in weed management as well as vertebrate pest management in conservation, land management, horticulture and agriculture settings.

This training will give you the skills and knowledge to participate in strategic invasive species management practices, prepare for management programs, and complete and assess management programs. You will also learn how to carry out weed management programs that require chemical spraying.

You'll gain the skills and knowledge required to work as a pest management contractor, pest management field officer, vertebrate pest management field officer, or a weed management field officer in the pest management industry. You could work in residential or urban areas, commercial and industrial areas, or in agricultural settings such as on farms.

In addition to the technical skills covered by the training, you'll also learn how to maintain required records and work effectively in the industry.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.
