Certificate III in Nursery Operations
Learn all the aspects of how to grow and maintain plants within a commercial or retail nursery setting, and get started on an exciting career in horticulture with this course.
With this nationally recognised qualification, you'll learn you how to grow and maintain plants including the identification of plant specimens and the basics of plant health and nutrition.
The course also covers workplace safety, including the safe use and storage of chemicals. You'll also learn about preparing soil and growing media used in the nursery industry, propogation of plants, irrigation systems, and how to identify and control plant pests and diseases.
This course is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in nursery operations and/or a career in horticulture.
Please note: This qualification is not eligible for fee-free training if undertaken as an existing worker traineeship (EWT). However; selected qualifications in key industry sectors are available as EWTs, with reduced course fees (limited places may apply).
