Whether it's for urban areas, residential developments or commercial areas — landscape design and construction is an important part of the overall look and feel of our spaces.
Through this course, you'll gain the practical skills and knowledge to design garden landscapes or renovate existing gardens, and learn how to select materials and plants for landscape projects and set out landscaping for a range of sites using stone, brick, block and timber structures. You'll also gain an understanding of environmental and sustainability considerations for landscaping.
What a great way to start a great career! Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.

This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to design garden landscapes or renovate existing gardens. It will also further develop skills gained in AHC21616 Certificate II in Landscaping or AHC21621 Certificate II in Horticulture.
The Certificate III in Landscape Construction is an apprenticeship; please see the Apprenticeships section for more information.
Delivery location
This qualification provides the practical skills and knowledge to construct, renovate and maintain garden landscapes.
Training is provided in the areas of hard landscaping, irrigation, plant knowledge, soil nutrition, turf maintenance, landscape machinery use and horticultural safety, building on the skills gained in the Certificate II in Landscaping.
Please note: Landscaping involves physical labour and students will be required to demonstrate a reasonable level of fitness and mobility.
