Activate your career in events
Events enrich our culture and are held to educate, celebrate, inform and entertain.
The Certificate III in events will give you the skills to assist in managing events, from the planning through to show day and the follow up after the event.
You'll be introduced to industry standard technologies for lighting, sound and audio-visual and begin to develop your creative skills so you can deliver professional events to your clients.
Our lecturers have strong industry links and you will be given opportunities to put your skills into practice with live work events organised by your lecturer.
The Certificate III in Events, reflects the role of individuals who use a range of well-developed events administration or operational skills and knowledge to complete event-related work activities. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence under the guidance of more senior event personnel, using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.
Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work for event or exhibition organisations operating in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors.
The diversity of employers includes event or exhibition management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events. Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of events takes place, on-site at venues where events are staged or a combination of both.
On completion of your Certificate III in Events, further study pathways exist directly into the Diploma of Event Management; with other pathways leading into Travel, Tourism and Hospitality.
