Certificate III in Electrical Fitting

If you're ready to start a career in the exciting field of electrical fitting, this is the qualification for you! You'll learn about electrical safety on-the-job and in the workplace, fabricating and assembling components, problem solving along AC and DC circuits, working with single and three phase low voltage machines, terminating cables and cords, connecting electrical circuits, and more.

Through this nationally recognised and accredited qualification, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to manufacture, fit, assemble, erect, operate, test, fault find, alter, repair electrical equipment and includes electrical wiring work.

The training includes electrical safety on-the-job and in the workplace, fabricating and assembling components, problem solving along AC and DC circuits, working with single and three phase low voltage machines, terminating cables and cords, connecting electrical control circuits, and other specialist skills.

Completion of this course can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study.

Please note: This qualification is not eligible for fee-free training if undertaken as an existing worker traineeship (EWT). However; selected qualifications in key industry sectors are available as EWTs, with reduced course fees (limited places may apply). A fitting trades career in electrics

In this course, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot DC circuits and work with single - and three - phase low-voltage machines. You’ll also gain hands-on experience with electrical wiring tasks, including assembling, maintaining, terminating, and modifying wiring between components within machinery or plant systems.

As an electrical fitter, you’ll work in a variety of environments from residential settings to large industrial sites - making sure electrical systems are safe and operational. You’ll develop the skills to dismantle electrical fittings down to their core components, rebuild them, and reassemble them to full functionality.

You’ll also tackle more complex tasks such as constructing control cubicles, building switchboards, and rewinding motors.
