With Western Australia's wines being recognised all over the world as top class, this is an exciting industry to be part of. The Certificate II in Wine Industry Operations is a nationally recognised accredited qualification that will give you the essential skills and knowledge required for entry-level employment in the wine industry.

You'll learn about production and production support in a winery or vineyard, including:

  • tending, maintaining and growing vines;
  • picking and crushing grapes for the production of wine;
  • process tasks in bottling and packaging, cellar operations and laboratory testing;
  • customer service tasks and cellar door service; and
  • tasks related to viticulture, harvesting and post-harvesting.

You will also learn about health and safety, and gain teamwork skills. 

Completion of this course can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. It's also an excellent pathway to an apprenticeship or traineeship in this industry.
