This nationally recognised and accredited qualification will introduce you to the WHS regulations and sustainability practices that underpin the energy sector in Australia, and you’ll learn how to provide basic sustainable energy solutions for residential premises. The course also covers promoting sustainable energy practices in the community, solving problems along DC circuits, operating energy sector application software, assembling components, and installing basic equipment.

Completion of this course can provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification, should you wish to pursue further study. It's also an excellent pathway to an apprenticeship or traineeship in this industry.

Introduction to Electrotechnology and Renewable Energy Pathways

Step into the energy industry with a program designed to give you a strong introduction to electrotechnology and renewable energy.

You’ll build a solid foundation of knowledge and practical skills that prepare you for further study or an apprenticeship in the electrotechnology trade. This course is ideal if you’re interested in becoming a skilled tradesperson and want to explore opportunities within the growing renewable energy sector.

You’ll gain an understanding of how modern energy systems work, including the basics of electrical principles, renewable energy technologies, and the role of energy storage and distribution in supporting a changing power network. The course also introduces you to industry practices and workplace expectations, helping you develop the skills and confidence needed for entry-level roles or further training.

By completing this program, you’ll be better prepared to take your next step into the electrotechnology field and explore pathways into a wide range of energy and electrical careers.
