8 week fulltime course (students and trainer) - 4 weeks of face to face theory training, in the classroom 4 weeks (Practical training, Workplace Experience and Assessment). Throughout the project (live works) within our programs, the trainer manages the project and works with the students in a fulltime capacity. Initially all students are provided the practical training and they are given the opportunity to gain experience. When the trainer identifies readiness of students, the final assessments are carried out during the project.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in an operational role in civil construction, who undertake a prescribed range of tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental knowledge, in a defined context working under supervision. This course is typically delivered 2 days per week over a minimum period of 16 weeks at a fully operational practical site with all required plant machinery and resources required for demonstration of practical skills. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, although students will need to undertake an LLN assessment. Students must be over the age of 15 years to complete this qualification.
