Industry Training & Workplace Services, offers traineeships in AUR20520 Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology. This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of servicing operations for light vehicles within an automotive service or repair business. Students will learn how to service and repair minor faults on automotive vehicle engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes and electrical systems and components. This qualification is delivered as part of a full-time pre-apprenticeship or on-the-job traineeship. The qualification develops the skills and knowledge required to carry out vehicle servicing and inspections in a light vehicle context. Further pathways from this qualification can include AUR30620 Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and AUR31120 Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

This qualification provides participants with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to secure entry level employment in an automotive workplace including servicing and repairs.
This qualification can be delivered as a School-Based and Aboriginal School-Based Traineeship program delivered with a combination of on-and-off-the-job training in the Perth Metro and Peel Regions.
