This qualification will provide you with foundational skills and knowledge to start your academic pathway for a career in the IT industry. 

With this course, you will begin with basic computer operation and then establish and develop your skills across a range of common programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will also learn to effectively use electronic communication skills, as well as get an introduction to digital photography and video.

This course teaches the essential skills for today’s digital workplace.

Students will learn how to use and take care of software and hardware, set up simple wireless networks, and how to keep online information safe. This course also covers important Microsoft Office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with basic workplace communication, design, and digital imaging skills.

With units spread out over the year, this course gives you the time to build your confidence and abilities. Completion of this course can lead to a career in Information Technology, design, or any job that uses digital technology. The Certificate II in Applied Digital Technologies will give you the foundation skills to either seek general employment or commence your further study in IT.

Learn the basics of using and maintaining software and hardware in the workplace, as well as setting up and configuring home-based wireless networks. As part of this qualification, you will also gain skills in maintaining personal online security, using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other general organisational skills in WHS and sustainability.

The qualification is designed for those developing the necessary digital and technology skills in preparation for work.

These individuals carry out a range of basic procedural and operational tasks that require digital and technology skills. They perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and knowledge in a defined context. The qualification is suitable for someone generally performing under direct supervision.
