This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of industry within the Kimberley region. On successful completion, you will have the knowledge and skills to confidently apply for employment in civil construction and mining works.
Within the Kimberley, there are substantial long term projects currently under way and many more upcoming. We will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to carry out a range of manual labouring tasks and how to operate machinery on constructions sites. You will learn about safe work practices, using equipment, tools and effective communication. You will also learn skills that will enable you to read plans, take measurements, drain water from site, spread and compact materials , assist in excavation, operate small plant and organise your work.
