This course emphasises the development of communication, numeracy, and digital technology skills while encouraging students to take charge of their learning journey. With flexible learning options tailored for adults aged 18 and over, students will benefit from a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and career readiness. Students will also explore various industries, helping them to identify their strengths and interests. By the end of this program, students will have the confidence to pursue further education or embark on their chosen career paths.  

The Certificate I in Gaining Access to Training and Employment (GATE) is an introductory course that will build on your personal, social and employability skills applicable across a wide range of industries. GATE is designed to prepare and progress you for further education and training and enhance your employment opportunities.  

This course enables you to develop your skills in numeracy and literacy, communication, and digital and personal development strategies. GATE offers three study pathways:

  • Animal Studies
  • Horticulture 
  • Mini Woolies program (Retail)

   

This course is an enabling general education course aimed at the development of personal, social and employability skills that are applicable across a wide range of industries. It is design to assist learners who have been marginalised or disadvantaged in some way to articulate into vocational pathways and to develop the skills and abilities to direct their own development. 

This course aims to provide training focused on a wide range of educational and vocational outcomes.
