This short course skill set is ideal for anyone wanting to enter the agricultural industry and gain employment as a farm worker during harvest, or as a starting point for a career in agriculture or farming. 

The Broadacre Harvest Operations Skill Set will give anyone new to the agricultural industry the skills and knowledge to safely undertake employment for harvest operations in the broadacre sector.

You'll gain the knowledge to safely operate a range of machinery used for harvest — including commercial tractors, headers, augurs and the chaser-bin.  You'll also learn how to undertake agricultural crop harvesting.

This skill set consists of units from nationally recognised and accredited qualifications. Successful completion can provide credit, should you pursue further study in a related qualification.
