This short course offers specialised training for direct client care, and meets industry requirements for work in supporting a person to self-administer medication.

This short course skill set is for people working in various care and support roles in the community services industry who wish to develop skills in supporting people to self-administer medication.

This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in an area involving provision of direct client care or support. It contains two nationally recognised units of competency that can provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services or HLT Health training package at Certificate IV and Diploma level. These units meet industry requirements for work in supporting a person to self-administer medication.

Over two days of classroom training, this skill set will prepare you to provide medication assistance in the community services and health care industries.
