This course will help you develop leadership and management skills including critical thinking; complex problem solving; client relations; team leadership; ethics; privacy; cybersecurity awareness; and business analysis.

You’ll also be able to select units that offer advanced technical skills in areas such as cloud computing; cyber security; application software development; project management; programming; network security; telecommunications network engineering; UX design; and ICT strategy and business management.

Completion of this nationally recognised and accredited qualification may provide credit towards a relevant higher level qualification or university degree, should you wish to pursue further study in this field.

Specialist cyber security training at WA TAFE

WA's TAFE colleges offer leading industry-standard courses in cyber security, where you'll learn through a combination of theoretical training and project-based tasks that give you real-life experience identifying and resolving cyber threats.

In this short video, you'll hear from cyber industry expert Dr Chris Bolan on how South Metropolitan TAFE's Training Cyber Security Operations Centre (TCSOC) is providing students with hands on experience in a specialised industry standard facility.
