The Aboriginal Career Opportunities Register assists job seekers to commence a rewarding career with the Department by providing access to a range of employment opportunities. By registering your details, you will be added to a distribution list where you will be notified of the latest jobs, pre-employment events and Departmental news.

Upon registering, your contact details will be available to hiring managers across the Department to view and contact yourself to discuss your suitability based on relevant experience, skills, and abilities for job opportunities as they become available. 

You will also be referred to various vacancies for immediate filling across various divisions within the Department.

Eligibility

The Department recognises Aboriginality as a genuine qualification for inclusion to the Registry under Section 51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984. To apply you must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and be recognised as such by the community.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
